Baix Cinca is an Aragonese comarca that was never politically Catalan. In the middle ages the border between Aragon an Catalonia was not well defined and changed several times, but that does not mean that this comarca is Catalan, just as it doesn't mean that Lérida/Lleida is Aragonese.
The fact of treating this comarca as Catalan is politically driven, and has more to do with Catalan nationalistic movement and "pancatalanism". Actualy the only reason to include Baix Cinca into the Catalan comarcas is that they speak a dialect of the Catalan language. --Ecelan 08:42, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)
